AI tokens are the monthly allowance that every AI feature in the platform draws from — the agents, the chat assistant and the monthly analyses. Understanding how they're used helps you make your allowance last the whole month.
What AI Tokens Are
One Allowance for Every AI Feature
Your plan includes a set number of AI tokens each month, and every AI action spends from that same pool. There is no separate quota per feature: the agents, the chat and the analyses all share it.
Measured on Real Usage, Not on Fixed Prices
Usage is measured on what each action actually processes — both the text the AI reads and the text it writes. The same action can therefore cost different amounts on different days: a reply to a long, detailed review consumes more than a reply to a two-word one. Any per-feature figure shown as a reference is an average, not a price. When usage cannot be measured at all, the action is recorded but not charged.
Checking Your Balance
The AI Tokens Card
Under Settings > Limits, on the Monthly Limits page, the AI Tokens card shows AI Tokens left, how many you have Used, how many your plan has Provided, and your Monthly Usage as a percentage. The card also states that the value resets every month on the 1st.
Going Deeper
The Track Your Usage box on the same page has a Go to History button that takes you to Settings > History, where your usage is broken down action by action.
What Consumes AI Tokens
Your AI Agents
Every action of your agents consumes tokens: the SEO Agent replying to reviews, the Social Agent writing captions for the reviews it shares, and the GEO Agent preparing the blog strategy, writing each article, generating its cover image and writing the caption when the article is shared on social media.
Blog Cover Images
A cover image is charged as its own action, separate from the text of the article, and it carries a fixed image cost on top of the measured usage. If you want to keep consumption down, the Do not generate a cover image option in the GEO Agent setup removes that cost.
The Chat Assistant
Every message in the AI Chat consumes tokens, together with the title automatically given to each new conversation.
Everything Else That Uses AI
The monthly AI Sentiment Analysis and the AI Ranking analysis draw from the same allowance, with AI Ranking recorded separately for each assistant it checks your visibility on. So do the AI replies and captions you generate by hand from the Reviews feed and the sharing panel, the suggested text offered to customers on your review link, the replies to private feedback, and the AI completions based on your business information.
Running Out of AI Tokens
What Happens
As soon as there are no tokens left, new AI actions don't start at all, so nothing is left half-done. In the Feed of the agent concerned, the action is recorded as failed with Insufficient AI tokens as the reason, so you can see exactly what did not run and when. No email or notification is sent when this happens. If you start an AI action yourself, such as generating a reply by hand, it is refused with the message "You've reached your messaging limit for this month".
Why Used Can Exceed Provided
Because consumption is measured after the action has been completed, an action that starts while you still have a handful of tokens left is carried out in full and then charged. The Used value can therefore end up slightly above what your plan provides.
When Your Features Start Working Again
The allowance resets on the 1st of the month and everything resumes automatically. If you run out regularly, ask your support team about a plan with a larger AI token allowance.
Tracking Your Consumption
The AI Tab in History
On the History page, the AI tab (named after your AI assistant) lists every AI action on your account, one row per action, with the name of the feature, a What it does description and the AI tokens it consumed. The tooltip on that value explains that the total represents the overall AI processing for that action.
Reading the Feature Names
The names in that list tell you which part of the platform spent the tokens: AI Review Reply, AI Feedback Reply, AI Review Suggestion, AI Social Caption, AI Blog Strategy, AI Blog Article, AI Blog Cover, AI Blog Caption, AI Chat Message, AI Chat Title, AI Sentiment Analysis, AI Ranking and AI Context Completion. The filters let you narrow the list to a single feature or to the period you want to check.
