Sales & Payouts

Manage Payments

Every payment your clients make goes through your connected Stripe account. This article shows where to monitor those payments, how to read their details, and how to handle failed payments and refunds.

Two Places to Monitor Payments

Across All Clients: The Sales Page

Sales in the top menu is the page that covers all of your clients at once. It only appears once you have completed Stripe onboarding, and only for an Owner or an Admin — a Staff member doesn't see it at all, and for an affiliate with the Sales role the Sales entry opens their own rewards page instead. If Stripe isn't connected yet, you'll see the Connect Your Stripe Account screen instead, with a button to start connecting.

Per Client: Their Invoice History

Inside each client's billing portal you'll find their Invoice history — every payment that client has made, with the invoice for each one. Use the Sales page for the overall picture, and the client's portal when you need to answer a question about one specific client.

What the Sales Page Shows

Balance

At the top left is your Balance: money your clients have paid you that's held in your connected Stripe account, waiting to be paid out to your bank. The Stripe Balance article covers it in full.

Revenues

Below it, Revenues shows your payment volume over time as two charts: gross volume (what your clients paid) and net volume (what's left after fees and refunds). Switch the period with the tabs above them: 7 days, 30 days, 3 months and 1 year. The page opens on 30 days.

Payments

The right-hand column is the Payments list: every payment across every client, each with its status. This list, and the balance and charts next to it, are Stripe's own components embedded into the page — so what you see there is Stripe's data, shown live, styled to match your platform.

Payment Details

Opening a Payment

Click any payment in the list to open its details in a side panel: the payment method, the status, and the fees taken out of it — Stripe's fee, plus the Climbo fee if your Climbo agency plan carries one.

Where Climbo's Fee Comes From

The Climbo fee is a percentage set on your Climbo agency plan, and Stripe applies it to each client subscription payment as it's charged. If your plan's percentage is zero, no Climbo fee is applied and you won't see that line on your payments.

Failed Payments

What Happens and What to Do

If a payment fails, Stripe retries it for a while, according to your retry settings. Meanwhile, the client's status shows Past Due and, if the retries run out, Unpaid or canceled. The payment's details show the specific reason it failed — pass that along to the client so they know exactly what to fix.

Issuing a Refund

Full or Partial

From a payment's details you can refund it, either in full or for part of the amount, depending on what you've agreed with the client. Clicking Refund starts the refund, which typically takes Stripe 5 to 10 days to complete. The refunded amount is taken out of your Stripe balance — see the Stripe Balance article for what happens if there isn't enough in it.
