You can offer your clients two types of plans: free plans and paid plans. This article explains the difference; both are created and managed from Plans in the top menu, on the Pricing Plans page.
The Plans Page
Where Your Plans Live
All your plans appear on the same page as cards, newest first: free plans carry a green Free badge, paid plans a Paid badge. Click any card to open the plan editor. To create one, click the Create Plan card, then choose Free Plan or Paid Plan in the Create New Plan dialog.
Who Can Create and Edit Plans
Only an Owner or an Admin can create, edit or delete plans: the Create Plan card and the editor's Save, Clear and Delete buttons are hidden from Staff. A Staff member sees only the plans assigned to them in Settings > Team, and can open them but not change them.
The Demo Plan
Every agency starts with a free plan called Demo Plan, with every feature enabled. It's there for testing and can't be edited or deleted — if you try, you'll see "Demo Plan cannot be edited" or "Demo Plan cannot be deleted". Create your own plans for real clients.
Free Plans
What a Free Plan Is
Free plans let you give the platform to your clients at no cost. When you create one, you choose the integrations, features and limits it includes, and how many locations a client can add. They don't require Stripe.
How Clients Join a Free Plan
Once the plan is created, Climbo generates a sign-up link for it. Clients use it to register with their own email and password and start using the platform right away. You can publish the link — for example on your website — or send it privately to specific clients.
You can also add clients yourself with New Free Client in the Clients section. The Free Plans article covers both routes in detail.
Paid Plans
What a Paid Plan Needs
Paid plans can only be created once your Stripe account is connected and onboarded: until then, choosing Paid Plan takes you to the Stripe settings page instead of the editor (see the Connect Stripe article). Unlike free plans, a paid plan has a Price tab where you set the currency, the pricing model, the monthly and/or yearly price and an optional free trial. You can have up to 10 paid plans at a time.
How Clients Join a Paid Plan
For each price, Climbo generates a Stripe payment link. The payment link is the only way a client can subscribe to a paid plan: there's no manual option like New Free Client. Once the client pays (or starts the trial), they're sent to your platform to set their password and go through onboarding, and their card appears in the Clients section. The Paid Plans article covers pricing, trials and checkout options in detail.
Free Clients Can Upgrade
A client on a free plan can move to a paid plan through that plan's payment link and keep everything they've set up — see the Free Plan Upgrade article.
