Stripe charges you a fee on every payment it processes for your paid plans. This article covers the Documents tab of the Accounting page, where you download Stripe's invoices for those fees for your bookkeeping.
Where to Find Them
Settings > Accounting > Documents
Open Settings > Accounting, in the Finance group of the sidebar. The page opens on the Documents tab; the other tabs in the top right are Balance report, Payout reconciliation and Tax.
Prerequisites
Like every page in the Finance group, Accounting is open to an Owner or an Admin and appears only once your Stripe account is connected and onboarded (see the Connect Stripe article).
What the Documents Tab Contains
Your Stripe Invoices
This tab lists all your Stripe invoices, with the details of your payments, fees and taxes for each month. You can download them at any time.
Produced and Stored by Stripe
The tab is Stripe's own documents panel, embedded in your platform. Climbo doesn't generate or archive these files and has no separate export of them: the download links belong to Stripe. The list therefore reflects your Stripe account exactly, including any periods before you started selling on Climbo.
Three Different Invoices — Don't Mix Them Up
What Stripe Bills You
This is what the Documents tab contains: Stripe's fees on the payments it processed for your connected account.
What Climbo Bills You
Your own platform subscription and your Agency Balance top-ups are billed by Climbo, and their invoices live in your own billing portal, reached from Settings > Account > Billing. Nothing on the Documents tab relates to them — see the Billing & Invoices article.
What You Bill Your Clients
The invoices your clients receive for their subscriptions are issued through your connected Stripe account, and each client downloads them from their own billing portal inside their platform. They aren't listed here either; you monitor those payments from Sales and from each client's billing portal (see the Manage Payments article).
Stripe's Fee and Climbo's Fee
Stripe's Cut
Stripe's fee is deducted automatically from each payment before the money reaches your Stripe Balance. The exact percentage is set by Stripe, not by Climbo, and depends on your country, your client's country and the payment method used — check your Stripe pricing for the figures that apply to you.
Climbo's Cut
If your Climbo agency plan carries a Climbo fee, it's collected automatically as a percentage of each client payment (see the Manage Payments article). It's separate from Stripe's fee and doesn't appear on Stripe's invoices as a Stripe charge; you can see it per payment in the payment details in Sales.
Keep Them
Download Regularly
It's a good idea to download and save these invoices as they appear, so your accountant has them for record-keeping without needing access to your platform.
